How to Fold an MTG Deck Card
MTG Deck Card creates a printable sheet of connected panels. Fold the printed sheet along the panel guides to make a compact reference card that fits in your deck box.
Before folding
- Print the PDF at 100% scale on the paper size selected in the generator.
- For two-sided printing, choose the printer edge-flip setting recommended in the printing FAQ.
- Fold along the long and short panel edges while keeping the printed side facing the direction shown by the selected layout.
Accordion fold
The accordion fold creates a compact card by folding each panel in the same alternating direction along the long edges.
- Fold the second panel behind the first between panels 1 and 2.
- Fold the third panel behind the second between panels 2 and 3.
- Fold the fourth panel behind the third between panels 3 and 4.
Cross-accordion fold
The cross-accordion fold connects two rows of panels and then folds each row into the same compact card shape.
- Fold the first row onto the second row so the panels face outward.
- Fold the second panel behind the first between panels 1 and 2.
- Fold the third panel behind the second between panels 2 and 3.
- Fold the fourth panel behind the third between panels 3 and 4.
Map fold
The map fold keeps the rows connected while folding them in a zigzag pattern, allowing the sheet to open into a larger decklist.
- Fold the second row behind the first so panels 1 to 3 appear in front of panels 4 to 6.
- Fold the third row behind the second so the rows stack in the same order.
- Fold the second panel behind the first between panels 1 and 2.
- Fold the third panel behind the second between panels 2 and 3.
Why can the preview look upside down?
Some panels in the preview may appear upside down. This is usually intentional: the orientation makes the printed panels readable after the sheet has been folded. The selected folding style and printer settings determine the final orientation.
