This page explains what happens to your data when you use MTG Deck Card, in plain language. The project does not create user accounts, does not sell data, and does not run advertising or analytics trackers.

Who Is Responsible for This Data

MTG Deck Card is an independent, non-commercial fan project maintained by Vantom, who acts as the data controller for the limited processing described below. If you have a question about this policy or want to exercise any of the rights listed further down this page, please open an issue by emailing to contact@vantomlabs.com.

The Decklist Text Box

The text you paste into the Decklist field is sent to this site's server-side function so it can be parsed, matched against card data, and laid out into printable panels. That request happens over HTTPS.

• The server does not save your decklist to a database or file after your request finishes.
• Operational logs may record metadata about a request (such as its timestamp and the length of the submitted text) to help diagnose errors, but the decklist text itself is not written to those logs.
• The finished PDF is rendered in your browser and downloaded directly to your device.

Hosting and Data Processing (Vercel)

This site is hosted on Vercel, and the layout/parsing step described above runs as a Vercel serverless function. As with any web request, Vercel processes standard connection information (such as your IP address and request headers) to route traffic and operate its infrastructure, and it may retain infrastructure-level logs according to its own policies. Vercel acts as the hosting provider for this project; it is not used to build a profile of you or to serve ads. See Vercel's Privacy Policy for details on how Vercel itself handles data.

An IP address is personal data under laws such as the GDPR. Request-level logs (including the metadata described above) are kept only for a short operational period to diagnose errors and abuse, and are not used for any other purpose. Because Vercel's infrastructure is global, this connection and log data may be processed on servers located outside your own country, including outside the European Economic Area.

Card Data Lookups (Turso)

To match the cards you list against real Magic: The Gathering card data (names, sets, mana costs, images, etc.), the server queries a card database hosted on Turso. This means individual card names and set/collector numbers parsed out of your decklist are sent to Turso as query parameters so the matching card can be returned.

• Turso is used purely as a read-only reference database of public Magic: The Gathering card data.
• Your decklist as a whole, quantities, deck names, and section headers are not stored in Turso.
• No results of your lookups are retained beyond what is needed to answer that single request.

Like Vercel, the Turso database may be hosted on servers outside your own country, including outside the European Economic Area.

Legal Basis for Processing

The decklist text, connection metadata, and card-lookup queries described above are processed only because you actively submit them by clicking "Generate Preview" or "Download PDF". This is the minimum processing necessary to provide the tool you are asking to use, which is the project's legitimate interest in offering this free service (and, where applicable, is processing carried out at your request prior to receiving a service). No profiling or automated decision-making takes place.

Data Stored in Your Browser

Some settings are kept only on your own device, using your browser's local storage, and are never sent to the server:

• Your wizard/customization preferences (paper size, folding style, display toggles, etc.).
• A cache of mana symbol images, so repeat visits don't need to re-fetch them.

You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this page. No cookies or third-party analytics/tracking scripts are used by this site.

Donation Links

The Support page may link out to third-party platforms such as Ko-fi, Patreon. If you choose to click one of those links and make a contribution, that transaction and any personal or payment information you provide is handled entirely by that third party, under its own privacy policy and terms. This site never receives, processes, or stores your payment details.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR may give you the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

In practice, there is usually nothing to look up or delete: this site has no accounts, no database of decklists, and no identifier (cookie, user ID, session token, etc.) that links any stored data back to a specific person. The only thing kept anywhere on the server side is short-lived, non-identifying request metadata in Vercel's own infrastructure logs, which expires automatically on Vercel's normal retention schedule rather than being searchable or deletable per person. Your browser's local storage (preferences and the symbol cache) is the one place data actually persists, and you already control it directly by clearing your browser's site data.

If you still have a question or a concern about data associated with you, use the contact link near the top of this page and it will be looked into. Please expect the answer to be "there is nothing on file" rather than a formal deletion process, for the reasons above.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the project changes. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with an updated review date alongside the tool's own version number shown in the footer.
